The Ravinia Women’s Board has unveiled the winner of its annual Ravinia season poster competition - Stephanie Beischer
Stephanie grew up in a small town in Southeastern Wisconsin. Always active throughout her childhood (basketball, tennis, soccer, baseball…you name it), art was always the one thing that centered her. She would spend hours sketching and those hours always felt like minutes. It was an easy choice to make art her career. She attended the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design where she received a BFA in Illustration. She has been working in the design industry since then. The past twenty of those years as a freelancer. She loves the variety of projects freelancing provides and is always looking for the next creative challenge.
She relocated to the Chicago area in 1998 and shortly after discovered Ravinia – she has been attending events ever since. Things have gotten busier as time has gone by, but she tries to attend concerts at least twice a Summer. She wanted to convey in the design the feeling you have attending an event at Ravinia. There is such a fun energy. A warm summer night under a clear sky with friends, candlelight and great music. It's such a special place and she considers herself lucky to live so close to this venue.
Stephanie currently works out of her studio in her home in the Northwest suburbs, which she shares with her husband, two daughters, two dogs and a leopard gecko.
