A Festival Shop exclusive! The Ravinia Women’s Board selected this design by Minneapolis graphic designer Sean Quinn as the winner in its 2019 Ravinia Season Poster competition.
Quinn is a self-described “plant nerd” who focused heavily on trees in his winning piece. Quinn says the piece was inspired by a “film with orchestra” evening he attended with his family several summers ago. “I wanted to capture the way the film was brought to life by the live music. Exaggerated trees and lighting give the scene a dramatic feel, while the soft sky and bright moon evoke whimsy and fantasy,” he says.
